Passport Trade-Up Kits
We have some exciting promotions – all designed to help drive your business.
As of March 6, Gilbarco implemented a new process for ordering Passport PX52 → Px60 Trade-Up Kits. Distributors will no longer be required to provide the serial number of site’s existing Px52 or the site’s Advanced Software Modules when ordering a Trade-Up Kit. This will facilitate closing customer orders as well as speed Gilbarco’s processing of Trade-Up Kit orders. Responding to your requests, Distributors and ASCs (through their Distributors) may now stock Trade-Up Kits for quick delivery.
Although we will not require the Px52 serial number at order entry, Distributors are requested to validate that site has PSO before placing the trade-up kits order. For sites that have found to have lapsed PSO at the time of PSO transfer, Gilbarco will contact any site to request a renewal. Gilbarco will bill back the distributor (to bill back customer) for one year of PSO PLUS + up to $1,500 reactivation fee for any lapsed sites that will not renew at that time.
Please advise your technicians that there is a new process for them when they arrive on-site for a trade-up installation. As their FIRST STEP in the installation process, technicians should now take a cell-phone photograph of the site’s existing Px52 Feature Activation screen showing date/time and all activated modules, a photo of the Px52 serial number, and a photo of the Px60 serial number, and send those photographs topassportbundles@gilbarco.com using subject line “TRADE-UP INSTALL”. When techs complete the installation and call for feature activation, Gilbarco will use those photographs to activate site’s modules on the Px60, transfer the site’s Px52 PSO to the new Px60, and enter an internal order to tie the site’s modules to the Px60 serial number.
Gilbarco will continue to require return of the site’s Px52 server (not screen) on RMA. RMA timing has changed for all trade-up kit returns to 90 days from date of install (to accommodate ability to stock kits). Since we are encouraging Distributors to REPLACE vs REPAIR Px52 systems with new Px60 Trade-Up Kits, Gilbarco will no longer require that we receive the Px52 server “in operational condition”. For now, we continue to require the return of the Px52 server, and we ask that you pack it for safe return (we harvest parts to continue to support existing sites) but Gilbarco will not bill back due to Px52 not received “in operational condition.”
