Weights and Measures – User Requirements for Custom Locks and other Special Access

Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s Custom Locks have already deployed as a strong and reliable security measure against tamper attempts. For those of you that are not aware of this equipment or are thinking about Custom Locks, please read the NCW&M regulations around site access.

Under the General Code 1.10 in Handbook 44 (USER Requirements), it is necessary that the USER allow on-demand access to the dispenser by a Weights and Measures official (Authority Having Jurisdiction).  In addition to dispenser access, the customer is also required to provide Manager keypads (if not already in the dispenser) and any other assistance the official requires to perform his duties relative to the dispensers on site including any special equipment required.
