Verifone Secure Pump Pay Support

In August 2014 Gilbarco and Verifone announced a partnership such that Gilbarco would become the integrator, distributor, and service provider for all Verifone’s forecourt payment systems on the Gilbarco FlexPay IV payment platform.

Due to the recent Verifone Secure Pump Pay (SPP) announcement, Gilbarco Veeder-Root will discontinue sale of SPP spare parts effective 7/26/2019.  Product currently under warranty will be supported while inventory is available.  Please see page 2 of this document for list of products.

What Do I need to do?

Contact your local Gilbarco account manager who can provide you with a compatible solution to replace SPP equipment with an EMV capable product ahead of the October 1, 2020 deadline.

Compliance Information

VISA U.S. deadline for EMV for dispensers is currently set at October 1, 2020. Verifone’s recent field service bulletin regarding the Verifone Secure Pump Pay (SPP) End of Service has no impact on Gilbarco’s FlexPay II and FlexPay IV payment solutions currently in the field and their EMV compliance. In order to achieve EMV compliance for customers not under existing pre-Gilbarco/Verifone partnership contracts Gilbarco will assist customers to remove their SPP device and replace it with either a FlexPay IV retrofit kit or a new Encore dispenser with FlexPay IV.
