Availability and Updates: Passport Express Lane Self-Checkout System
Orders are now being accepted for Passport Express Lane, a self-checkout system designed to seamlessly integrate with the modern convenience store environment. Passport Express Lane is the latest addition to Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s Passport POS Suite of C-store solutions and is available with Passport Version 12.02.
PASSPORT EXPRESS LANE SELF-CHECKOUT BRAND/NETWORK AVAILABILITY
Passport Express Lane requires Passport Version 12.02 or higher application software. Effective October 25, 2019, Passport V12.02 is now orderable for the following networks:
- ExxonMobil
- Heartland Payment Systems (HPS) Chicago
- Worldpay
- First Data Generics (including Sinclair, Gulf, Clark)
Available soon (expected release in the next 30-60 days):
- Chevron
- Valero

PASSPORT EXPRESS LANE SELF-CHECKOUT SYSTEM COMPONENTS
Passport Express Lane is a Self-Checkout system that is a simple add-on to an existing Passport System with a PX60 Server, EDH and cashier workstation(s). The solution contains two new components, the Consumer Checkout Terminal and the Control Console. The Consumer Checkout Terminal is a new type of Passport client that performs a subset of POS functions and is tailored to perform transaction sequences as a consumer-facing device. The Control Console is a new device/function that monitors the transaction database on individual consumer terminals. It can modify the contents of the transaction and perform additional actions. Purchase of the essential hardware along with licenses and a service agreement is required for operation.
