New Passport® Express Ordering Payment Features with 21.03 Software

Upgrades Drive a More Seamless Customer Experience

Gilbarco®Veeder-Root is expanding its Express Ordering™ solution to include payment features. Previously, consumers could only order food at the Express Ordering kiosk. Now, retailers can offer a few payment options:

• Order and pay for food at the Express Ordering Kiosk.
• Order and pay for food and other c-store items when the Express Ordering solution is combined with Express Lane ™ self-checkout.
• Enable the “Order Food” button on the cashier workstation giving cashiers the ability to order food for customers without leaving their register. Cashiers can take orders on the phone or via a drive-thru.

Here are the Minimum Requirements to Implement the New Payment Features

• Passport® 21.03 software with MP22 or later for every Passport server and client.
  • Your customers should check with their brand/network to see if MP22 or later has been tested and released.
• Windows 10, SSD for every Passport server and client.
• New Xpedient Express Ordering License and Support Hardware. (sold separately by Xpedient)
• Passport Food Service Suite.
• Express Ordering Order Fulfillment Server.

Existing Express Ordering customers who upgrade to 21.03 with MP22 or later, Windows 10 and the new Xpedient software receive a free Passport Food Service Suite from Gilbarco and a 25% discount on software from Xpedient through June 1, 2023.  Xpedient will only support the current software model through December 31, 2023.
