New Software Release: Passport® Point of Sale System Version 23.01
Dear Distributor Partner:
Passport version 23.01 is now available for Passport Point Of Sale and Passport Express Lane™ for Fiserv Generic and WorldPay networks. Availability dates for remaining networks vary, see complete list below. The following is a list of new features and enhancements to share with retailers.
WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 23.01?
PCI-DSS v4 Compliance
Version 4 of the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) takes effect beginning January 2024. The revised standard increases payment information security in various ways including restricting database access to only certain users and requiring a unique admin be identified at each site instead of one universal admin across all sites. By updating to Passport 23.01 sites will comply with this requirement.
Auto-Enable Insite360 Remote Workstation
Passport will register every site to the cloud, eliminating the need for busy managers to go through the steps required to register and enable Passport to connect to the Insite360 Cloud. Additionally, this will automatically enable Insite360 Instore if the site is contracted for that service.
Wayne iXPay®2 Outdoor Payment Terminals Support
Passport now supports Wayne iXPay2 Outdoor Payment Terminals on Wayne T7, T12, and Anthem dispensers.
Invenco Outdoor Payment Terminal Support
Passport now supports the Invenco by GVR FlexPay 6 Outdoor Payment Terminals: the Modular M1-15 and the All-in-One A1-05. Field trials are under way for brand and payment network approvals.
UPCOMING MAINTENANCE PACK FEATURES – 4th Quarter 2023
Loyalty Stacking
This Maintenance Pack gives consumers the ability to select which loyalty program or programs they want to apply during a single transaction. If the same loyalty ID is used across loyalty programs, they will automatically be signed into them, thus eliminating cumbersome login steps. Retailers can also choose which loyalty programs may be combined with others. Consumers get the savings they expect, and retailers attract and maintain loyal customers!
Express Lane Cash Management
Reconciling cash, managing the movement of cash and coin, and cash security is significantly improved with this Maintenance Pack.
- A store close report reconciles the beginning cash balance, cash added by employees, cash added through transactions, cash removed by employees, and ending balance for the Paypod cash recycler. Data can be sent to the back-office for analysis.
- New prompts help employees navigate through the process of adding and removing cash which reduces human error and keeps reports accurate.
- Updated error notifications provide more accurate descriptions and reduce troubleshooting time.
- New security groups created for cash acceptor functions specific to employee groups such as cashiers, supervisors, and managers. Now it is possible to limit an employee’s access to cash based on their role.
- New function allows the retailer to remove coin without the need for a Paypod service technician.
