16-port Netgear Managed Switch End of Sale

Effective immediately Gilbarco will no longer be offering the 16-port Netgear Managed Switch (Q13708-06) for sale. Gilbarco will continue to sell the 8-port Netgear Managed Switch (Q13708-09).

The 8 and 16 port Netgear Managed Switches are used in conjunction with the Secure Zone Router (PA04240000) as part of the Passport and Passport EDGE solution to connect all Gilbarco Veeder-Root IP enabled devices at a site and enable high speed diagnostics, high speed connectivity for remote support, remote routing changes and fixes, and enhanced security for an ever-changing PCI environment.

Gilbarco will continue to support the 16-port Netgear ProSAFE GS716Tv2 Managed Switch for those already purchased from Gilbarco and will continue to endorse it as an approved device for the Secure Zone Router solution for those that acquire the switch from other mediums.

Gilbarco will also continue to sell the 8-port Netgear ProSAFE GS108Tv2 Managed Switch and endorse it as an approved device for the Secure Zone Router solution as well. As a general rule of thumb distributors should order one 8-port Netgear Managed Switch (Q13708-09) per each workstation at a site (total # of IP enabled devices at a site can greatly vary).
