Change to Encore S and 700S CRIND Printer Mount

Effective with July 2020 production of Encore S and 700S, Gilbarco will begin shipping the Encore CRIND printer mounted on the printer door. The printer will no longer be installed in its current “slide mechanism”. When the printer door is opened the printer will be readily accessible on the printer door.

Please note, the printer and printer head itself will not change. It is the same printer, only its mounting has changed.

Here are some of the characteristics of the new “printer mounted on the door” arrangement:

• The printer will be mounted to the dispenser’s printer door with a new bracket
• The printer slide mechanism is going away
• The printer and printer paper specifications have not changed and are the same as currently outlined in the Encore Owner’s Manual
• The printer head orientation remains the same (paper feeds into the back side of the print head)
• The printer door is the same
• Removal of the printer head is the same as today’s design (held in by pins)
• The printer mechanism will continue to accommodate a 6” roll of paper
• After removing the left side pin, the printer will be able to be rotated to the right to allow the 6” rolls to be installed
• The printer pocket will still have a security enclosure to prevent tampering with the card reader and UPM
