Distributor Instruction Document: M1-15 CRIND Kit and Printer Assembly Requirements
Overview
The 6 M1-15 CRIND retrofit kit is a key upgrade path to FlexPay 6 for existing dispensers, enhancing payment processing capabilities. The M1-15 payment kit utilizes the “slide printer” assembly, part number M07885A006, which may be required under certain conditions.
When is a new printer required?
When ordering a FlexPay 6 M1-15 CRIND retrofit kit for existing units meeting the below criteria, a new printer is required for each order:
- ECIM Units built after May 2021 with a printer-on-door configuration require a replacement printer.
- Encore S Full Door Units:
- Units manufactured between 2004 and 2007 that have not received an EMV upgrade will require a new printer.
- Non-CRIND Encore Dispensers: Dispensers sold as Non-CRIND that have not been upgraded since their initial sale must include a printer with the M1-15 kit.
Ordering Process
To ensure accurate and efficient ordering, follow this important step:
- Utilize Correct Serial Numbers:
- Always use the serial number of the dispenser receiving the retrofit kit when placing an order for the M1-15 CRIND kit. This is crucial for identifying the correct parts and requirements.
The Gilbarco configurator is programmed to automatically drive the printer for Encore units in the field meeting the mandatory conditions.
Optional Printer Assembly
For customers who wish to refresh their printer along with the M1-15 CRIND kit, ordering a new printer assembly is recommended but not required.
