This document provides a brief overview of the FlexPay IV 10.4” display update that will affect all new and spare screens for FlexPay IV dispensers. The update will improve the screen resolution from 640×480 to 800×600. For Canadian customers, please see note under Call to Action.
3 Key Points to Remember
- All new and spare 10.4” display screens for FlexPay IV will support 800×600 enhanced screen resolution as of 2/22/2024.
- All orders will be pre-installed with the minimum version of FlexPay IV software required to support the 800×600 enhanced resolution as of 2/22/2024
- The minimum software version depends on the Delta version that the customer has certified with previously. The table below shows the current and the minimum software versions for each Delta.
Current FlexPay IV UPM SW version | FlexPay IV (M7) UPM Min. Release Version |
Delta K/B 42/52.11.xx | Upgrade to > 42/52.11.54 |
Delta L/C 42/52.12.xx | Upgrade to > 42/52.13.14 |
Delta M/D 42/52.13.xx | Upgrade to > 42/52.13.14 |
Call to Action
- When an updated 10.4” display is installed on the dispenser, the FlexPay IV software will also need to be updated to the minimum version for 800×600 enhanced display support.
- Media requires both sides of a dispenser to have the same display resolution, so when one side of the dispenser is updated to an 800×600 display, the other side will need to be updated as well.
- For Canadian customers and partners, please note that all Gilbarco-provided display fonts in the Canadian market FlexPay IV software bundle have been converted from fixed size to TrueType to support the 800×600 10.4” display. This may affect the appearance of existing customer or partner-created SPOT display resources that use FlexPay IV default fonts, causing overlapping or larger than expected text. Please refer to the “Technical Guidance for 800×600 FlexPay IV Font Change” section for instructions on how to determine if this issue applies to your custom SPOT display resources and how to address it.
